Ethylene Oxide (EO or EtO) Sterilization
Ethylene Oxide (EtO or EO) gas is used to sterilize materials, surgical kits, substances or equipment that would otherwise be damaged by
other conventional heat-reliant sterilization techniques. As a result, Ethylene Oxide gas is the ideal option for sterilizing
items such as electronic equipment, spices, syringes, catheters, resiprators, surgical telescopes and medical/pharmaceutical supplies.
Health-care and medical organizations rely heavily on the efficient and antimicrobial sterilization uses of Ethylene Oxide.
Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas is able to penetrate packaging and product to destroy microbes without damaging the object on which they reside.
An aeration period follows each sterilization cycle in order to remove the remaining trace amounts of EO. An in-chamber dynamic aeration
phase is also available which accelerates the removal of EO from product conditioning by adding steam while at the same time removing chamber
gas with a vacuum subsystem.
