Best practices research and years of experience have demonstrated that Integrated Information Systems can be successfully implemented in a relatively straightforward four steps approach

Step 1: Perform a Quick Assessment

Working with an experienced professional, you review your current sterilization process, assess your operational and technical readiness to implement a state of the art irradiation information services system. Then you document the specific opportunities for imporvement that will be addressed by the new application, so you can prepare a summary cost/benefit analysis for senior management to make go/no go decision

Step 2: Conduct Implementation Planning

During this phase the project team establishes the project plan to achieve the changes from the current as-is state to the desired future state. Your project team defines and sequences the activities in order to affect the desired infrastructure, system and business process changes. The team confirms the scope of the project and prepares a communication plan for staff and key stakeholders. Dates are announced for completion of key deliverables such as software testing, training and roll-out.

Step 3: Implement the Integrated Information System

Project team leads the implementation. Software modules are put into place with right features. Testing is conducted to ensure quality.

Step 4: Provide Ongoing Support

Arrangements are made to ensure the new application is properly supported.
